Transportation Equity
PIIN’s Transit Taskforce is working both nationally and locally to bring transit equity to this region. In 2010, PIIN got a commitment from the County Council President to pass an ordinance that calls for malls in this area to be more transit friendly. PIIN will also hold several community field hearings that will focus on how we can make our local transit system more efficient. PIIN is also a member of the Transportation Equity Network. TEN is a national grassroots organization that fights for transportation equality.
