Civil Rights for Immigrants (CRI)
and
Anti-Racial Profiling Policy
PIIN hosted a hearing with Congressman Luis Gutierrez from Chicago on the need for action by the President’s Administration and Congress for immigration policies that keep families together. More than 200 PIIN members and supporters gathered to listen to the stories of local immigrants whose families have been separated by deportation as a result of arcane and unjust immigration policies. At the 2011 PIIN Public Action Meeting on November 3rd, PIIN stood in solidarity with the immigrants present and pledged to continue to support their fair treatment locally and reform nationally.
