VICTORY!!!
Submitted by piinAdmin on Tue, 10/20/2009 - 20:48.

VICTORY!!!
On Tuesday, July 28, 2009 the St. Charles Lwanga Parish held a local community action to address the drug dealing in Homewood-Brushton along Brushton Ave near Bennett St.
Click here to see photos of the action.
To read about the action in the New Pittsburgh Courier click here.
As a result, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will:
-Increase their presence along the Brushton Ave corridor beginning Saturday, August 1, 2009.
-Require officers to do a "park & walk" along the Brushton Ave corridor each shift, daily, starting Saturday, August 1, 2009.
-Focus their resourses to specifically combat the drug dealing in the Brushton area.
This couldn't have happened without the support of those who were in attendance and the St. Charles Lwanga Parish PIIN core team who worked tirelessly to be proactive in an effort to address the issue by putting on the action as part of the Holy Ground Campaign.

Join Us at Grace's Holy Ground Action - Tuesday, August 31 at 6!

The Holy Ground Campaign is underway!  Valley View Presbyterian Church had nearly 200 people at their action on Friday, August 13 to address the gun violence in Garfield & East Liberty.

It's time for more Holy Ground action!

Come support Grace Memorial Presbyterian Church at their Holy Ground action next Tuesday, August 31 at 6pm at Grace Church!  1000 Bryn Mawr Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.  They will be engaging the City of Pittsburgh to address the disparity in the amount of City resources the Schenley Heights area in the Hill is receiving.

We need your support!  Plan to come & spread the word!
