PIIN members, their friends and families gathered together on April 15th to celebrate the work of the past year. But as Rev. De Neice Welch said that evening, now is not the time to relax. We have to recommit to building PIIN, and the movement for social justice.
It was in that context that we got the historic opportunity to hear from former UN Ambassador and civil rights leader Andrew Young. His keynote reminded us that while we may not always know exactly how we’re going to reach the next milestone of social justice, with resolute faith and principled organizing, we will get there.
